What this site collects, and what it doesn't.

Short, because there is not much to say. No accounts, no payments, no tracking across the web — a contact form and cookieless analytics.

The short version

This is a portfolio. There are no accounts, no logins and no payments. The only information I hold is what you type into the contact form, and the only reason I hold it is to reply to you.

The contact form

It collects your name, your email address and your message — nothing else, and there are no hidden fields. Those three values are stored in a database so the enquiry is not lost, and forwarded to my inbox so I can answer. They are not used for marketing, not added to a mailing list, and not shared with anyone.

Analytics

The site runs Vercel Analytics, which is cookieless and aggregate. It records that a page was viewed, roughly where in the world from, and on what kind of device. It does not set a cookie, does not follow you across other sites, and does not give me anything that identifies you as a person. That is why there is no cookie banner — there is nothing to consent to.

Who else is involved

Vercel hosts the site and runs the analytics. MongoDB stores contact submissions. Gmail delivers them to me. Each sees only what it needs to do that job, and none of them receives anything from me for any other purpose.

How long anything is kept

Contact messages are kept while a conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, because a project enquiry often resumes months later. Ask me to delete yours and I will, without asking why.

Your rights

You can ask what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Write to maducollins18@gmail.com and you will get a reply.

Changes

If what the site collects ever changes, this page changes with it. It lives in the same repository as the site, so its history is part of the site’s history.

This describes how Collins Madu’s site handles data today. It is a plain-language statement rather than legal advice.
